The Temptation to Escape

Good morning Church, the Bible says in 1Peter 5:8. Be alert and of sober mind. 

Some days it's tempting to scroll through your phone, snack , or sleep you way through the hard parts. Although escaping may soften the edges temporarily, it leaves your soul unhealed. God gently invites you to stay present, to feel what's real, and to trust that He will meet you in it. Let's honor Jesus today by asking.

Heavenly Father, meet me in the moments when I want to shut down. Help me stay open and awake. Amen.
